The challenge. The Town of Zionsville needed to expand Fire Station #292 on US-421 — an addition to a public-safety facility that has to keep serving the community while construction is underway. That means working safely around an operational station, holding to public-bid documentation standards, and keeping the project transparent for town stakeholders.
What we're doing. R. Chavez Construction is delivering the addition as general contractor, sequencing the work to protect the station's operations and coordinating every trade to keep the schedule moving. As a certified MBE prime, our involvement also supports the town's participation goals at the contract level.
