The challenge. Indianapolis Public Schools set out to bring multiple high-school athletic facilities up to a modern, competition-grade standard — football fields, tracks, synthetic turf, lighting, and site improvements — across some of the district's most prominent campuses, including Arsenal Technical, George Washington, Shortridge, and Arlington. Each had to be ready for its season, on an urban campus, with the community watching.
What we did. R. Chavez Construction delivered the athletic improvements as general contractor, coordinating turf installation, track work, bleachers, lighting, and extensive site work. We sequenced each field to hit its athletic-season deadline and managed the public-bid documentation and safety protocols these active campuses require.
The result. Modern athletic complexes the IPS community can be proud of — delivered on schedule, with the Indianapolis skyline as a backdrop on more than one.
Synthetic turf, tracks, and stadiums — built around your season and your district's accountability.
